Established in 1973, Shimano Singapore started out as the first overseas bicycle component assembly centre for its Japanese parent company, Shimano Inc. By leveraging on the quality workforce here, Shimano has since grown into a full-fledged manufacturing plant with R&D, product design and engineering, cold forging , stamping, heat treatment, electro-plating and tooling fabrication capabilities. .
Shimano Singapore Sales office was set up in 1991 to look after the S.E.A market.
In the year 2000, Shimano Singapore become manufacturing HQ of subsidiaries located in Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, China and the Czech of republic.
